In it’s first year New Hero has welcomed a series of guests to it’s stage including the first ever show for the now supernova star Little Boots as well hosting the first Brighton shows for acts like La Roux, Crystal Stilts, Surkin, Mirrors, Boy Crisis, Futurecop, Katie Stelmanis (Vice Mag), The Golden Filter plus special guests such as Midfield General, Moshi Moshi Records, Casiokids, Das Pop, Punks Jump Up (Kitsune) and more.

Continuing our tradition of bringing you great acts first - we have some very special guests on the night - all the way from Helsinki, Finland the new stars of the soon to be released KITSUNE MAISON 8 compilation - LE CORPS MINCE DE FRANCOISE will be PERFORMING LIVE! This trio of girls (two sisters and a friend!) are currently working on a new album with Berlin production house New Judas (who were responsible for Annie’s last album) + M.I.A. & Major Lazer maestros DIPLO & SWITCH!
The Guardian labelled their first single back in February - “like a Hanna Barbera cartoon of MIA and Yo! Majesty mud-wrestling” and named their other work as having “all the mischievous exuberance missing from that last CSS album”. As if that wasn’t praise enough The Guardian has compared them to New Young Pony Club, Peaches, & Fan Death before noting that LCMDF “could be the one – the first – hipster electro-girl-group to break through“. Plus we’ll be showcasing some of the nights that will define the future of New Hero of with DJ sets from the legendary 'SOMEWHERE IN THE UNIVERSE' which is returning to every Friday at New Hero from November 13th (Come to this event and receive FREE ENTRY to that launch party). 'Somewhere In The Universe' is the night that has defined new indie electro dance floor music in Brighton by being home to the city’s most enthusiastic resident DJs and the night that brought the likes of Friendly Fires, Busy P (Ed Banger), MSTRKRFT, Little Boots, La Roux and many more for their first appearances in the city. Also representing ‘Somewhere In The Universe’s’ new spin off night 'Horse Power' which began at Concorde this month with Chew Lips, The Golden Filter, Designer Drugs, and American Apparel. Plus a sample of New Hero’s most notorious party DJ’s from 'It is still 1985', the Saturday night juggernaut that has re-defined the power ballad, electro pop era to whole new generation of Brighton’s cool club goers, along with the 'Strong Look' DJ’s, stalwart New Hero collaborators on a whole host of New Hero’s most innovative club nights over the last 12 months.
