"A night dedicated to the wonder of ’90s slacker. Remember movies like 'Idle Hands', 'Clerks', 'Empire Records', 'Reality Bites' and 'American Pie'? Slackers pays homage to them and the music that was the soundtrack to Generation X, from the 'Pumpkins to Pixies via all the records you have hidden in a shoebox at your parents house.
Plus ’90s film visuals and a whole lotta boozing. We might even have red plastic cups."
Last month the strong look + thomas crossbones tag team literally jumped at the chance of guesting at Eclectic Like Whoopi at The Alibi, playing rare treats such as Chef, Inspector Gadget and the 5ive megamix to a mixture of dancing, cheers, booooo's n' 'V-signs', surely that guy ment to put up 5 fingers right? Obv, hand issues. (but he did it for the whole 10minutes?! strong.)
After the last ridiculous and astounding month Eclectic Like Whoopi is back at The Macbeth for it's first birthday (Oh!) and it's Roxy's birthday too (Oh!!), so expect smash upon smash.
Myself and T. Crossbones will be guests again alongside many of the amazing guests Eclectic Like Whoopi has featured in it's first year.
Hopefully we'll bust a full barbershop version of Afroman 'Because I Got High' too, it has been rumoured, and wouldn't that be just hilarious!
I'm special guesting at this week's Under The Volcano for Teen Creep's.
The Source magazine's guest's upstairs will be Superheroes of BMX - which is a great Mogwai song title that I was massively disappointed in the actual song, same as other great Mogwai titles such as 'I am not Batman' or 'I know you are but what am I?'.
This Thursday I'm djing with Thomas Crossbones at Eclectic Like Whoopi, it's FREE and it's gonna be alot, alot of FUN

"Like the perennial old hag herself, Eclectic Like Whoopi is once again opening its doors, upon thursday October 14th. Also like the dreaded voodoo queen, our Whoopi likes to get around and so we are once again we are hosting the night at the Alibi, a far cry from our usual home of the Macbeth. But it was such a success last timei that we thought why the hell not.
When asked in Sister Act 2 what her favourite music is, our Whoopi replies in her lacquered lesbian tones: "My music taste is eclectic y'all." This was the inspiration for our club night.
You'll find no ridgid, repressive, music policy restrictions here; if your pallet stretches further than a single musical genre, then this night is aimed at you.
Last time around Sean Paul knocked heads with Bruce Springsteen, So Solid Crew with Stevie Wonder, East 17 with Aaliyah, ODB with The Rolling Stones, Little Richard with old Lionel Richie.
The amazing, the awful, the hilarious, the classic, the nostalgic - literally anything could be played.
We've only booked DJ's who are sure to be great fun and unpredictable in their musical choices - expect to hear the likes of... well anyone.
Lawrence Brooks, Emma Bailey and Glen Scrymgeour introduce:
Zoe Sherwood, Sophie Mac, Rosie Stoward, Max Cadd, Ralph Rovero, Kristine Joramo, Anna Mryga, Olivia Faire, Halcyon Frost, Shaun Robertson and more...
The Goose Drank Wine
MKII, 71-75 Powerscroft Road, Clapton, Hackney on 28th September
For this art showcase I'm putting together spontaneous band 'Hey, We just met!' I have no idea what they'll sound like, and if you might like to be in the band get in touch, there might just be room!
The idea is that the band have not rehearsed anything together before, or discussed the show and ideally not met before they get on stage and perform for 30minutes. Any instruments welcome, ltd. number of people on stage though so get in touch asap.
